Lodhi garden is a recreational place where you can find rapture in a fast moving life. It is situated on Lodhi Road in the middle of Khan Market and Safdarjung’s Tomb. It was established by the Sayyid and Lodhi rulers between the 15th and 16th centuries. It contains the tomb of both the sovereign and other historic monuments which attract the large number of tourist. The original name of Lodhi garden was the “Lady Willington Park” which was renamed as “Lodhi Garden” after Indian Independence in 1947. In 1968, Lodhi garden of Delhi was re-designed by the A Stein and Garrett Eckbo and gave it a present shape. There are several tombs which comprises the tomb of Muhammad Shah’s Tomb, Sikander Lodi’s tomb, Bara Gumbad and Sheesh Gumbad. Muhammad sha was the 3rd ruler of Sayyid Empire.
